Carter Farm Arkansas Wedding | Allie + Tommy
I'm generally at loss for how to start every blog post. Most of my clients have been in my life for less than a year by the time we photograph their wedding, and come wedding day there's a likelihood that we've only met two times previously.
Today I'm blogging a wedding that's extremely close to my heart. While I've known Tommy for a very short time, Allison has been a part of my life since the old days of riding the school bus to elementary. I consider myself most privileged to have been selected to document their big day, especially considering that Allison is also a wedding photographer and has so many industry peers that could have put my work to shame. I will forever be thankful for their trust and belief in my work.
Allison & Tommy met at a pool party of a mutual friend, and it wasn't until Allison mustered up the courage to go and steal his fedora that the two got the opportunity to officially meet. Some say love at first sight isn't a thing, but I think these two will argue differently. I guess his fedora wasn't the only thing she stole that night.
After a few dates, these two knew it was the real deal. When Allie told me he was the one, I believed her wholeheartedly. She knew it. She was certain. And I think Tommy knew just as well that Allie was the one for him.
The two got married in early June at the BEAUTIFUL Carter Farm in Benton, Arkansas. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Ms. Lana Carter is the most wonderful venue owner I have ever come into contact with. From the moment you meet her, you're going to feel right at home. You feel like family. You feel like Carter Farm is the place you want to start the rest of your life with the one you love. And you wouldn't be wrong.
This wedding had everything you could ever want - a father/daughter dance with some killer choreography, a surprise routine by the bridal party in 'that's what she said' shirts, and more.
Below are a few (or a bunch because I got carried away) favorites from Allison & Tommy's big day.
Congrats, and I love you guys so much. I wish you only the best in life, just like you've shown me.
